Why Indian SaaS Companies Are Winning Global Contracts in 2026
Five years ago, selling Indian SaaS to US enterprise buyers meant overcoming a trust gap. "Are you really based in India?" was a common question on sales calls. Founders often used US mailing addresses and hired US-based customer success reps to bridge the gap.
In 2026, that gap has largely closed. Indian SaaS is winning on merit.
What Changed
Freshworks went public. When Freshworks listed on NASDAQ in 2021, it validated the entire Indian SaaS category for global investors and buyers. If a Chennai-founded company can serve millions of global customers, so can yours.
The quality bar rose. The cohort of Indian SaaS founders building today are experienced operators. Many spent time at Freshworks, Zoho, Chargebee, or global companies. They know what enterprise buyers expect.
Remote-first normalised India. COVID made remote work mainstream. A support team in Hyderabad is now as natural as one in Austin. Geography stopped being the deal-breaker it once was.
